Beautiful places to shoot within the city limits with a nominal entry fee or just free of cost. The places listed below are easily accessible and can give great output. These places can be reached easily and with good planning and effort you can achieve great pictures

N4 Beach

Located in the North of Chennai. It is the fishing harbour in Chennai.

Royapuram track

You may replicate the romantic scene from a movie without risking safety. Just before the Royapuram Bridge, turn left and explore the Royapuram tracks. You can click beautiful couple shots near the tracks.

ECR beach

Enjoy your drive to ECR beach and plan a few shots beforehand. Plan for an early morning shot to avoid stares and long glances. Prepare and plan the shoot with long fairy tail gowns to get dreamy couple picture to frame it in your room.

Hidden lake

Located a Kilometer away from Chennai International Airport, Hidden Lake is such a beauty to visit within the city limits. Abounded quarries led to the creation of this majestic place. A short trek in the Thirusullam hills takes you to the lake. Of course, it is a hidden gem for the Chennaiites who have never got to see such an overview.

Broken Bridge

Beautiful things needn’t always be perfect, they can also be broken, just like this Broken Bridge which connected Santhome Beach to Elliot’s beach. The Broken Bridge collapsed in 1977 and was never reconstructed and ended up becoming an eye- catching site. It is a bliss to watch the Sunrise and Sunset with your loved ones from this point.

Thirusulam Hills

Located right behind the Thirusullam Railway station is easily accessible by road. This mountain region being the tallest hills gives a breath-taking view of the hidden lake and also the airport, especially when it is lit. There is Murugan temple – temple to the Hindu Lord Muruga. On the other side of the hill is a Church. Furthermore, there is a mosque on top of the hill. It is a thrill filled ride and gives an amazing view of the city.

Ottiambakkam quarry

Post your shoot you can swim, kayak, practise paddle board yoga, and other water sports (provided you know to swim very well) at the undiscovered and serene Ottiambakkam quarry in the city. This is the most private place as it is an offbeat place near Chennai.

Muttukadu lake

To reach Muttukadu from Chennai, follow the Eastern Coast Road. Boating is a good option at an affordable cost. There is a lot of parking space as well. Click the perfect sunset shots with the love of your life. You can also spot Pelicans and other seabirds occasionally. Watch out for your head, while rowing beneath the ECR bridge.

Alampari port

The 15-acre brick and limestone castle, which stands towering on the Chennai-Puducherry East Coast Road in Madurantakam. One can picture the spectacular view that the fort’s former residents once took in when gazing out to sea. Sea foam shoots up from the brick walls as waves crash against them. Storks soar overhead, perching on centuries-old bastions.

Shore temple

A large and two smaller temples make up the complex known as Shore Temple. Shore temple overlooks the Bay of Bengal’s coastline. It is a granite-block temple that has a structural design. Perfect spot to capture the love in traditional attire.
