Summer vacation is about to say goodbye, and all the schools are set to open for a new, bright academic year. Though most children’s hearts are pitter-pattering with new colorful bags, umbrellas, and many more sweet-smelling stationery items, some children’s hearts are throbbing with thrashing anxiety. From ‘not knowing what to expect’ to ‘the thought of making new friends’, anxiety can be disturbing to many. So here’s how you can help your child deal with anxiety.

Tell Them What to Expect

Unfamiliarity can lash down anxiety. Not knowing what to expect, the school environment, and many more can make them fall into the whirlpool of disrupting thoughts. In such cases, it’s important to have an open conversation with your child where he/she can unhesitatingly address the concern and acquire your help. Sometimes taking your child to school on the first day and introducing the school environment can help them to an extent.
