This recipe will make you forget about potatoes and taste even better than your regular potato fries. If you have an air fryer, you can make this healthy dish even healthier by avoiding the oil frying part. This delicious goodness takes only 15 mins to make!

Deep fried ripe plantain slices or pake kele fried chips in a bowl

What you’ll need

● 1 Banana Stem
● ½ cup Gram flour
● ½ cup Rice flour
● Garam masala to taste
● Salt to taste
● Chilli powder to taste
● Jeera powder to taste
● 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
● ½ tbsp Baking soda
● 2 tbsp curd

How to make

  • Peel and cut the Banana stem into thin sticks and soak them in water mixed with curd. If not, the Banana stem will turn brown and have a bitter and rubbery taste.
  • Dry it off and transfer them into a container and add all the above mentioned ingredients and mix well. Do NOT press or mix tightly or apply any pressure to the Banana stem, rather, mix gently.
  • Fry the mixture in medium heat until golden brown and enjoy!
